Great Farming Spots For WoW

Making gold in WoW doesn’t have to be hard. By applying some basic gold making strategies, based on the gold economy of the World of Warcraft, anyone can obtain cheap WoW gold quickly and easily without having to grind away for hours at a time.
I’m always amazed when reading other peoples posts on blogs and forums when they describe the thumb-breaking methods they use to make a few gold coins in WoW. A typical post always seems to begin with someone’s ’secret’ grinding spot where - at level 70 - they pull a mid-level mob and spend the next hour grinding them into oblivion for a few silver apiece and the occasional drop of a green. Rinse and repeat for the next 8 hours, they advise, and you might have enough gold coin to pay off your bar bill at the Pig and Whistle (Stormwind)!
Not that I’m against grinding the occasional mob, but I normally do it as part of a quest or to obtain a particular item that I know will sell well on the Auction House. By combining questing with grinding, you’ll level faster and make wow gold with greater ease.
Another good mob to fight is the Plains Creeper spiders located in the Arathi Highlands. These mobs will drop Spider silk about one times in ten. This spider silk is a component in level 19 twink items so it is in hot demand. It will sell for about one gold each. Another benefit to the Plains Creeper spiders is that they are a level 33 and can give you experience points also.
As an example, I created a Gnome alt based on the Warlock class - no particular reason, except I haven’t tried that combination before. I leveled him to 5 in about 30mins and trained him in the Mining and Engineering professions - a gathering and crafting profession that compliment one another. Level 5 is the earliest that players can train for a profession. I then ran a route around Dun Morogh and built up a stack of copper which I then auctioned for several gold coins on my server. Copper still sells very well on most servers due to the high demand from all the crafters - Jewelcrafting, Blacksmithing, Engineering, etc.
Head to Tarnaris and look for the Lost Rigger cove located in eastern Tarnaris. You can get to this area by way of a tunnel on the western side of the mountain range. The Southsea Pirates that you will battle are in the mid 40’s range and drop items such as Mageweave cloth, volatile rum and silk cloth. These items can be sold for 2 or 3 gold a piece.
Unless you are making a specific level battle ground character there is no need to gear up every couple levels. If you do have to upgrade something essential such as a weapon just find the cheapest substitute you can. Later on all these saving will add up and let you afford those great items you will crave at higher level.
So there you have some of the best places in World of Warcraft to farm gold. The more you play, you may discover a few places of your own. Gold is what makes the game go around, so happy farming!

Gold, it is a very valuable commodity in World of Warcraft. Almost everyone in the game needs more gold for one thing or another, whether it be the shiny new epic flying mount, twinking out a low level character, or even boosting a trade skill such as blacksmithing or engineering. All of this requires gold. There are a lot of other things that don’t require it, but that are made much easier if you happen to possess an excess amount of gold, such as the reputation grinding items and the like.
Since “The Burning Crusade” has been released, gold has become even more desirable. Though the expansion did make it easier to amass larger amounts of gold faster, there has also been an increase in prices for all the good items, armor, mounts, and weapons you can gain in Outlands. Essentially, despite the massive increase in gold-gaining capability, almost everyone still lacks enough for everything they want. Most people simply end up either a) buying gold, or b) grinding for weeks on end. Neither sounds, nor is very fun. One decreases your real-life cash reserves, whereas the other decreases your real-life time reserves.
This is why I bring you to the comfortable middle road: a guide to gold making. Obviously, just heading off into Outlands looking for some monster spawn to grind will be quite tedious. The alternative, it seems, is paying your hard earned real-life cash for it instead.
This refers to how fast you can kill a mob and move onto the next one. As mentioned in tip 1, you should be continuously killing when you are farming gold in WoW. That means, anytime spent sitting, drinking, or running to the next mob is wasted time. Consider killing easy enemies and use mana efficient spells when you are gold farming.
With the right guide you can make in one hour what would have taken you two to three hours previously, thereby gaining a lovely few hours to spend on doing something a bit more fun than grinding. Now, you might be thinking you could simply figure out all this gold-making process yourself, right? Well, the truth is that you can. However, just ask yourself: do you want to waste days and perhaps even longer coming up with your own great gold-making strategy, or would you rather spend a small amount of money and have it handed to you - right now?
Learning to use the Auction House is a must to get the most out of your gold farming.
If you are going to use this method, look for an add-on called Auctioneer. Auctioneer will scan the auction house for low priced items, so you don’t even have to spend time hunting through the category tree. Auctioneer keeps track of the average selling price of items, so you will know if something is way underpriced and can be bought low and sold high. You can even park a low level alt by the auction house with a couple of gold to run your scans and buy cheap items, so your main character doesn’t have to come back from grinding or questing.
To conclude, buying low and selling high at the Auction House should be part of your strategy if you hope to make gold in World of Warcraft. To make it easier to do, go out and get the Auctioneer add-on.
