Go Carts, Fun And Safe

Posted by: freetraffic | Comments (0)

Are your children nagging you to get them a dirt bike or an ATV? Or are you in fact a child yourself and want one oh so badly. Are you scared about their safety while using one of these vehicles? Well with a Go Cart you get the best of both worlds. Go Carts are more then just fun, dirt kicking vehicles. But they are also one of the safest ways to find fun in the Mini Vehicle department.

As far as fun goes, go carts come in all different shapes and sizes, with different amounts of fun in every one. Depending on the Go Cart, you could find your self going 30 MPH or you could find yourself going 60+ MPH. Whether you like driving on the roads with some nice sleek street tires, or trail riding with some monster dirt tires and hefty suspension, a Go Cart brings it all.

Now lets talk about the safety of a go cart. Go Carts are at the top of the charts when it comes to that category, which I know is, and should be the most important category when it comes to any vehicle. Most Go Carts come equipped with cushioned seats and seat belts just in case you run into something or hit some turbulence. Now what other mini vehicle such as a dirt bike, ATV, motorcycle, etc. is equipped with seat belts? That’s right, none. That itself shows that Go Carts are your safest bet when it comes to choosing a toy for your child.

But if that’s not enough, there’s always more when it comes to a good ol’ Go Cart. If the seat belt wasn’t enough, the Go Cart also brings you the role cage. A role cage is simply steel bars that enclose the driver in his seat and seat belt creating a capsule like area for the driver for the max amount of safety. You can’t get much better then this folks. Therefore, if the Go Cart was to turn over, flip, etc, the role cage will save your head and body from getting crushed. Now that’s good to know!

So if your looking for some “toy” whether it be for your child or even for yourself, I myself own a Go Cart, and I feel its the safest, and most fun “Mini Vehicle” on the market. So next time you think about getting a go cart, think of all the wonderful things that come with it.

Go carts are inexpensive. There fast. There fun. And most importantly, there safe.

Whether your the parent reading this or the kid that wants it oh so badly, don’t wait. The time is now.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission in the U.S. , out of ten people hospitalized every year as a result of ATV misuse, four patients are under the age 16. Actually in 1993 the Department of Health estimates 50 people were critically injured from utility ATV related accidents, without including accidents unrelated to agriculture.

Why are there so many ATV related accidents? Because aside from using the ATV as a utility vehicle, most ATVs serve another purpose too, which is recreation. And ATV misuse is the main factor for all these accidents. But quite contrarily though, sport ATVs have fewer accidents since most ATV drivers are professionals who play by the rules.

Don’t add to the accident percentage. Use your common sense and have fun responsibly. Wear the right ATV gear for safety.

Wearing the right ATV Gear

Body Protection
Ordinarily a full complement of body protection is worn especially if you are racing with ATVs. A set of ATV gear should include a helmet, goggles, body suit, gloves and boots. And given that racing with ATVs are done in rough terrain, and most of these terrains are treacherous especially if you are not careful, it would never hurt to have every bit of protection you can get. Even loose earth flying around can get to an unprotected eye and blind you if you are not wary enough.

While there are ATV suits available on the market, long sleeve jacket and long tight pants are enough for body protection. Just don’t wear fabrics that easily snag with lying debris. Don’t forget to wear gloves and boots. What’s more, it wouldn’t hurt if you wear shin guards or padded clothing.

Head Protection
This is the most important safety ATV gear, not only in ATV but in other sports as well since the helmet prevents lethal head injuries. It is essential too that the helmets used should at least be designed for ATV use since it would include a proper face protection. These face protectors aside from protection against vehicle crashes can also protect your face from flying debris, which is bound to happen a lot especially if you are racing with ATVs.

Eye Protection
Most ATV helmets have eye protection afforded by the face helmets. But if eye protections isn’t available, you can also opt to wear a pair of goggles or glasses with hard lenses. And make sure the lenses are extra hard or they will shatter if hit by a loose stone.

A new concept is beginning to cross the country.  ATV Speed dating.   ATV Speed Dating you say?  Yeah.   Its not just for country rednecks anymore.  It is going mainstream…

An ATV trail is a good place for dirt, rocks, splashing mud, and ladies?  Of course it is! Women like to ride the 4-wheeler trails and have fun just like the men do! Your date will love it that you want to be outdoors with her. In fact, you may get more than you bargained for in a remote area of the woods!

Don’t believe for a minute that today’s female can’s manage the rough riding conditions of an ATV trail. Today’s women are strong. Some women actually make the guys look really bad on the riding trails. They can hold their on. So don’t be afraid to ask for a date out on the trails with that lady you have had your eye on. Most likely she will jump at the chance!

Be Romantic Still…You Clodhead!

Of course, don’t forget to be romantic. Being alone on the trail can mean for some good times together. Let the special girl know that you would like to take her on a special sunset cruise on four wheelers on a local trail. If you don’t like calling her on the phone, just send her a message to her myspace or facebook page. Most likely, she has one.

There are a few different things than you need to do than your normal date. You won’t regret it. The first thing you should do is find out the experience level of your date on an ATV. Then, you need to map out the trail that you plan to take based on the experience level of your date. If she’s just starting out (or hasn’t ridden before), choose a smooth path that will leave her breathless and smiling, but definitely not terrified. If she’s experienced on an ATV, you can take are more places. Just don’t get to dangerous with it and have fun! Regardless, make certain you know the mileage so you’re at the appropriate spot come nightfall (a sunset always makes a lovely date backdrop.)

Don’t Look Like A Slob Even Though You Plan to Get Muddy!

Because this is a date, you’ll want to look your best. The trails are very dirty, but you can still dress casually nice without looking like a slob. At least comb your hair and trim your fingernails. Remember to brush your teeth, too, as most people like fresh breath.

When you meet your lady, show her how much you care by showing her a bag filled with lots of goodies for the two of you to enjoy during your ATV date. It is the little extras that make the trip so much fun. Capturing the moments with the digital camera will be priceless in the future (hopefully).

During the ride, you’ll no doubt have a plethora of opportunities to wow your significant other by pointing out exceptional scenery or by picking her a handful of wildflowers. Since this is a date, don’t be in a hurry to get from point A to point B; allow yourselves to linger when feasible. Moments together off the ATVs can be of great opportunity to kiss one another.

Should something go wrong along the way, keep yourself calm, cool and collected. The ATV trail date is about having fun and being together. It’s an inconvenience comes along the way, take it in stride and turn lemons into lemonade. If you do that, you will create a memory. She’ll recall fondly how you handled an unexpected situation if you keep a level head.

Though an ATV trail date isn’t guaranteed to produce a permanent relationship that will last the test of time, it’s still likely to be a awesome experience for you both. So give it a try, and remember that girls can like riding trails on the ATVs as much as guys do. Try and have some fun!
